I'd harvested a bunch of apples from our trees a few weeks ago. They were making the cupboard smell lovely, but in that you-know-we're-all-about-to-go-off way. One bad apple and all that. They're all Falstaff apples so are good for eating fresh as well as cooked. Most I've quartered and frozen, the rest are now a tasty apple sauce, which will go into a cake I think.
