February Flew Fast

January seemed to last years, February mere days. March is marching fast too. Spring started to show itself for real at last, with the crocuses and daffodils flowering. Only a couple of snowdrops this year though.

A brief but intense pink sunset just as the jackdaws were flying. These two obligingly waited for me to get my zoomy camera.
Hey hey blackbird I see you too

Another bird being kind and letting me take its photo. I think this is one of the pair of blackbirds building a nest in the thicket of roses, honeysuckle and california lilac we've got near the house.

Daisy drawings on different card stocks

I have a box of A6 card offcuts I bought from a bookbinder. I wanted to do something with them so drew a set of daisy designs that I could use the Axidraw to do some variants with. I have 10 designs in total, though I've only put a few on paper.

Using alcohol markers to draw the daisies on card and on Khadi paper
The moooooon.

The earthshine appeared even more prominent to the eye. It was pretty yellow too.

The moon photo on the left above was taken with the iPhone, it was quite dark and cloudy and it made it look like daylight. The daffodil and holly was taken while shining a torch, since the iPhone won't let you keep its light on and take a photo, for some stupid reason.
