Autumn

It's the solstice in a couple of weeks, marking the end of autumn. The trees are a bit more colourful this year, and I think have kept their leaves longer. I guess it's not been quite so windy this year, and it's definitely felt a lot warmer. We've still got St John's Wort and California Poppies flowering in the garden.

Thing is, it's Christmas soon, and it just doesn't feel like the right weather for it. It still feels so much like September.

Having said that we did have a few frosty days. The only plants it seems to have affected are the nasturtiums and chives we had in pots. The rest perked back up when the sun hit them, and the rose bushes are still flowering happily.
