Once More Onto The Beach

Down the beach again, looking at all the eroded things and the patterns the water leaves behind. I had my polarising filter on the lens this time which meant I could take clearer pictures through the water. First time I've been able to use it for that, despite me buying it for exactly that.

A chunk of brick wall eroded so it looks like a pillow or blanket

This chunk of power station looks like it's wrapper in a quilt with a brick pattern.

A terrazzo effect from old brick and concrete
Another terrazzo brick and concrete thing

More accidental terrazzo.

Beautiful rust.

A rockpool looking inviting for a paddle
More rockpooling

Occasionally you see something swimming about in these pools, but they're very quick, very small and as soon as you've seen one it's gone again.

A blue rock with a white line across it, against soft sand
Two blue rocks separated by a strait of beige sand

The blue really stands out when you're there.

A rock and sand composition suggesting clouds flowing over a tall mountain peak
Ripples left in the sand by the movement of water

Sometimes they remind me of Mars Global Surveyor photos.

Deep dark rainclouds with small clouds in front illuminated more strongly, above a flat beach

But this isn't Mars, just look at that!
